Marie Davidson Fun Pole Fitness Owner and Instructor
Hi! I’m Marie Davidson, the owner of Fun Pole Fitness. I have always been interested in fitness and nutrition. In 2001 I decided rather than just take group fitness classes I wanted to teach them. I am certified by ACE (since February, 2004) as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and by Pole Position Fitness (July 2007) as a Pole Dance Instructor. I’ve taught cardio kick-boxing, body pump, stretch, cardio and Gravity classes. I used to teach Beach Boot Camp, spin and abs classes at Powerhouse Gym in Pacific Beach in San Diego, CA.
Regular fitness classes can get boring quickly, so when I learned about Pole Dancing as a way to get and stay fit, I knew I had to try it. And when I did, I was hooked and knew I had to teach it too! I enjoy helping people reach their goals, and working with each person so they can learn the moves and be successful.

Lorena Romero-Cabra Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hi, my name is Lorena Romero-Cabra! My background includes a lifetime of dance training & performing, from classical ballet & jazz, to ballroom & various Latin styles… Additionally, I’ve always been passionate about nutrition and exercise, engaging in a variety of sports throughout my life. I’m also a big believer in group fitness, with my favorites being step aerobics, cardio kickboxing, spin, yoga, Zumba, and most recently POLE FITNESS! Hence I instantly fell in love with our approach here at FPF, where I first began teaching Intro to Pole in Spanish (Tubo!), and later the Intermediate Pole Choreography classes (which allow me to express my more creative side while making you lovely ladies WORK & SWEAT!).
Nadine YoungFun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hi, I’m Nadine! I’ve been with Fun Pole Fitness since it opened in Fall 2009; first as a student and now as an instructor. I tried out many different studios but I call FPF my home because of the emphasis on fitness and the comfortable welcoming atmosphere. I used to be hot mess, but since I started FPF, I’ve lost 30 pounds and gained a ton of strength and self confidence! I’ve got before and after pics posted in the studio that really show you what pole for fitness can do! I teach intermediate and advanced tricks and a tricks with choreography class. I LOVE music: top 40, hip hop, pop, rock, and I even slip in some country once in awhile. My classes are for those looking for strength, extreme tricks and who love to dance because once we start, we don’t stop!
Jessica Gilmore Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Jessica Gilmore was born and raised in Miami, Fl. In 2000 she began attending Dr. Michael M.Krop Senior High School where she was a part of the dance magnet program. After graduating from High School in 2004 she moved to Tampa where she attended the University of South Florida College of Visual and Performing Arts. In the summer of 2008, she received her BFA in modern dance performance. From 2006-2010 she choreographed numerous pieces for the public high schools in Miami; also teaching summer intensive programs for those students. The summer after graduating from the University of South Florida she was given the opportunity to tour Tunisia for a month. After returning from Tunisia, Jessica moved to Seattle where she began working with Spectrum Dance Theatre. Upon returning to Miami in 2009 she began to explore the art of pole dancing, both performing at different clubs in Miami and teaching at Pole Fitness Miami. In 2011 Jessica relocated to the bay area, where she was teaching ballet to babies in the morning and pole dancing classes at Atomic Allure in the evening. With her extensive technical dance background she really loves the flow through movements/tricks and intricate pole-ography. She really enjoys mixing her modern/contemporary style into her classes. “Pole dancing has changed my life, I’ve built more confidence, it has brought amazing friends into my life and it is the best workout I’ve ever gotten!”
Mitchy Roman Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hola, I’m Mitchy. In 2011, as an activity on my bucket-list, I decided to take a pole fitness class. I instantly fell in love with this art form and couldn’t wait to share the true beauty of this style of dance. I started as a student and I have been teaching for the last 2 years. I don’t have an extensive dance background but yet I feel as if I’ve been dancing my whole life. I started my own choreography class at my prior studio and it has been quite successful! The 2 rules that I live by are: 1) Feel the music and 2) Do not compare yourself to anybody else in the class, compare yourself to how you did your first day! Performing on the pole empowers me as a woman to accomplish all the things everyone said I was either too old, or too heavy to do. It has boosted my confidence and has brought out a new version of me. Pole fitness has encouraged me to live a healthier lifestyle, has completely changed my physique, and has given me strength both physically and mentally. My goal is to one day be able to compete and make my mentors, family, and friends truly proud.
Jess Boltz Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hey ladies and gents! My name is Jess and I'm excited to be a part of the Fun Pole Fitness family! I've always been a fan of alternative sports; I grew up competitive horseback riding, in college I became a long distance runner, and then after graduating I even worked as a skydive coach for a few years. I had always wanted to try pole fitness, and when I moved to San Diego in 2015 it wasn't long until I found myself in a class at Fun Pole Fitness. After that fateful day I haven't left since! I teach level one and two tricks classes and pole conditioning. Come join me for a fun and challenging workout!
Hannah Denham Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hanna Denham is a Hand Balancing Contortionist. She started her journey with the passion to pour herself into her art entirely. Working with a background in theater she desired to give more to the audience. Circus Arts was an accidental find in search for a more fitness oriented skill to bring life to the stage. While spending years training hard under amazing coaches both locally and abroad she grew to not only find strength in learning about the body at this level but encouraging and dedicating her time to teach others body appreciation as well. Studying under many body workers with massage therapy as well as weight training. Hannah started out being very inflexible and was worried about injuries she saw in herself and other performers, so she has developed a system of flexibility that emphasizes safety and minimizes injury. Her goal is always to educate others about body awareness and understanding muscles to create that beautifully balanced handstand.
Alex Dunn Fun Pole Fitness Instructor
Hi my name is Alex and I can't wait to share the world of pole fitness with you! I have always considered myself an athlete, some of my favorite activities being field hockey, soccer, track & field, water skiing, and obstacle course races. With sports and fitness always in mind, I earned a BS in Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Nutrition at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After college, I pushed my competitive tastes in a new direction and started pole dancing! I found it to be such a beautiful challenge - combining strength, flexibility, endurance, and dance. I also found it to be mentally transformative, it brought out in me a new sense of empowerment, confidence, and sensuality. I have experience teaching country line dancing and group fitness, and now I'm flexing my instructor-muscles at Fun Pole Fitness teaching strength building classes and beginner tricks.
